Orchestra Elective Flyer
Research explaining why orchestra is good for you
Most
public schools in Texas start beginning strings in the 6th grade and SCIS
follows the state model.
We
teach an average of 70 beginning 6th graders how to play one of the following
instruments each year: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass, or Harp. Each of these
instruments will be especially sized just for you. Even basses come in smaller
sizes!
We
always recommend that your first instrument be rented. As you grow, we will
move you to a larger instrument. It will always feel just right.
Lisle
Violin Shop and Allegro are local stores that send repair
representatives each week to service our students needs.
If you
are a prospective orchestra student please contact us. We will be happy to make
an appointment with you to allow you to try each instrument and help you
determine what size you will need.

There
is an orchestra level for your child,
no matter how busy they are!
